Here's the recipe:
First, you need to grab good ol' trusty bread, six slices of 'em. Tear them into bite-sized pieces, then add a cup of plain milk and ¾ cups of sugar into the bread pieces. Let the mix soak for a while until the bread becomes mushy and soft.
Next, crack 3 eggs into another bowl and add ¾ cups of melted butter. Beat them up until they're fully mixed.
After that, mix the egg and butter mixture into the bread mixture. Stir it up until it's evenly mixed.
Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch round baking dish.
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celcius, then bake the dish for around 25 minutes until the colour turns golden brown.
Here's what you'll need:
- 6 slices of bread, torn into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain milk
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cups of sugar
- 3/4 cups melted butter
Once it's done baking, let it cool in the dish for around 10 minutes. When it's cooled, remove it from the dish and serve it with your favourite hot or cold drink. Distilled water works wonders for me, but you could also try it with a cup of warm milk or a teaspoon of your favourite coffee.
